Hey all!! I don't know if anyone has posted this before, but feel free to delete it if it has been!   


I know some of you have been trying to find a really neat pattern for Mrs. Weasley's house coat. Well, I was surfing all the Harry Potter stuff that etsy has to offer and I came across this:

Well I have a couple of updates for my Tonks Ministry of Magic costume and the beginning of my other Tonks costume. Sorry about some of the poor quality of the pictures.

Long story short, I made my husband and I, Hermione and Krum's Yule Ball Robes for the premiere of Goblet of Fire, but there weren't really many photos of the costumes out at the time, so the costumes I made (in a single weekend!) weren't that accurate. I was never satisfied, so I sold the Hermione, and decided to make a new one (I'm nearly done with it), and now I've decided to make Ron a new Krum one as well (which I'm nearly done with as well).

So, I figured before I eBay'd it, I'd give you guys a crack at it (what with Terminus and D*C coming up). Remember, these don't have to be Krum Robes; all the Bulgarian students wore them to the ball.

Both lyrics come from a rarely heard and unknown Evanescence songs.... I hadn't even heard of them until i stumbled across a site with all there early work.

Now... scary as this may seem it kind of reflects my moods... in fact i took my first foray into writing the other day and wrote something kinda odd and a little scary knowing that it came from inside my head.

This mean i'm gonna quit and take up a job writing poems / lyrics... LoL hell no :P

But i'm seriously considering a complete change of life / employment / where i live... It's like i'm being called to do something else, the problem is i'm not entirely sure what.

Back to the present and the current, i'm looking forward to Kidsflix this weekend, my clones First Official Outing :) i am beyond psyced. My New glasses are hurting my eyes, i am guessing that it's because my brain needs to get used to them.

I'm wanting to go and see the Dark Knight, prolly wont get a chance until after i've been paid in 12 days time. Not that money's an issue i just need to ballance things. I'm spending too much on crap and need to get a hold of my spending to make it to DC next year.

On the work front, i enjoy my job and I'm finding it challenging, the problem is it's the same shit day in and day out, it has been for the past 14 years. It's why a part of me is considering doing something completely radical, thou i honestly feel that i should do that after DragonCon / Japan.

Anyways... back to work

Hello everybody! I wanted to ask of anyone here has ordered from Wizardties.com before. I bought a gryffindor tie on the 13 of June and I haven't gotten it yet. I tried to email the owners, but I haven't heard from them yet! I paid for priority shipping which said a max of 5 days to get to me. Well, it will be 14 days tomorrow, and no tie! Has anyone else had this issue? Please help, I really need my tie!

Hey Guys!

I'm new and this is my first post. I thought I would post some of my Harry Potter themed costume photos for all to see. I'm not actually dressed as a character per se, I'm dressed as some random girl (who has a Snape shirt) in the Potterverse (also, I look like a fangirl). 

Oh also, ignore the fact that you can see my bra through my shirt in the second photo... flash does strange things to costumes.

I offered to help with the "Make your own Deatheater Mask" panel at Terminus 2008. Unfortunately I'm no longer able to go (though I WILL be at Dragon*Con), but I did still build a tutorial and a mask.

I've posted about this before but I'm doing it again just in case anybody is interested in them now. I have a Gryffindor robe that I made for the premiere of Chamber of Secrets but I no longer need it and i am in dire need of money right now. It's made out of a black lightweight broadcloth type material. I'm 5'6" and it comes down to my ankles but it can be let out for someone taller and hemmed for someone shorter. My chest is about 51" and it's still kinda big on me but it can be taken in on the sides. It comes with a Gryffindor patch and two frog clasps on the front. It also has a wand pocket on the inside on the left side. I'm asking for $40 for it and $5 shipping. If you are interested, please let me know!

'Superhero Diaries' postponed to 2009

SINGAPORE : Toy Factory Productions has postponed it's musical "Superhero Diaries" to March 2009. The musical starring 80s pop star Debbie Gibson, was originally slated for August 22 and 23 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

It is still unconfirmed if Gibson, who plays dual roles, can join in the production next year.

"Debbie is obviously very disappointed. We would love to have her on the show, but now it's a question of her schedule for next year," said director Beatrice Chia-Richmond.

"Superhero Diaries" is an original story about a little girl who escapes into a make-believe world of comic characters, to get away from an abusive stepfather. Audiences will enter a fantastical world of imagination, complete with elaborate costumes, set and props.

More time is needed for all aspects of production, to ensure that the audience gets the best experience. "It was a difficult decision, but we had to take it because we wanted to give the audience what they deserve," said Chia-Richmond.

The venue for the production next year has also yet to be confirmed.

Local cast members who include Karen Tan, Sebastian Tan and Chua Enlai, however, will remain unchanged.

Guess those literature courses in college did some good! I'm disappointed that my list isn't longer but at least it's more than 6!

The Big Read reckons that the average adult has only read 6 of the top 100 books they've printed. Well let's see.

The wonderful nattieb sent me brilliant cookies. MP and I had one immediately when I opened the package...they were warm like they just came out of the oven! I guess they've been sitting in my mailbox for a bit and it is about 90 degrees outside!

I told MP she couldn't have any more until after dinner...I don't think they will last the night!
